11x15x.50" mixed media collage. Acrylic chips and pencil.
Thoughtfully placed colors, contemplative, and desire to repurpose paint in modern form.
Framed with acrylic non glare pane. Ready to hang.
Off White Matt, off white paper behind the art and off white paper with mounted art.
This tiny collage has cut pieces from her acrylic color palette. By peeling the paint off her palette she turned it upside and found a beautiful flow of color.
This piece was born out of Alison wanting to up-cycle her acrylic palette pieces when she peels them off her paint cup trays. As she started to think about composition several things came to mind. Like her interest in graffiti, peeled posters on building and textured worn paint. Last after seeing Nigerian sculptor El Anatsui's work she had this in the back of her mind to try a bit of his vision in his recycled pop top drapes. Something about recycling every day items is an interesting story.
